eKode is internet production and marketing company. We make websites. We attract visitors to websites. Our primary focus is to make your website bring you new business, and keep your existing clients happy. We put everything else (design, "cool factor", structure and navigation of your website) in the function of these two primary goals: bringing you new customers, and keeping your current customers happy.

Where do we fit in?

Businesses usually adopt one of two ways in order to build their websites: some hire a professional marketing agency that puts in place a large production with a team of specialized experts such as photographers, programmers, graphic designers, and account and project managers. The results are good and professional looking websites, but the prices are tens of thousands of dollars and up. Other businesses choose to do it on the cheap by hiring a student, or a small, often single-person company to put together a website for them. Results are not always professional looking websites and the final cost often ends up being more than initially intended since the final product needs to be reworked and enhanced. And if website is not produced using standard methods and technologies, there is a risk of "locking" yourself with your website provider since only he or she knows how to work on it.

eKode is positioned between those two extremes. Our production is efficient and executed by a small team (usually a designer and a programmer), and additional resources are available when they are needed (photographs, video experts). The best thing is, our prices are nowhere near those of the regular marketing agencies--they usually range between a thousand and five thousand dollars (this of course depends on the scope of work and the size of project).

Our Process

Normally, we set up a free initial conference to discuss your needs. We will ask you if you know some other websites that you like and would like to use as guideline. We will evaluate your website in a greater marketing context of your business so we can follow all marketing decisions that you may already have in place. That way your website will be a seamless marketing extension that reinforces your branding and advertising.

We will first establish the layout and navigation of your website. This is done by using sketches called "wireframes". Next, we will decide on the graphical design of your website. Once you are satisfy with everything, we will go into production and program your site.
